Kinilaw.com, a partner site and part of the Ambibo Network is back from a year-long hiatus as negotiations have begun for its acquisition by an investment group based in Chicago.
Kinilaw.com went live in 2006. To paraphrase Shakespeare, kinilaw.com is a site for all to “reminisce perchance to drool. ” Maybe, in levity (and possible serious dissection) the pangs of hunger and loneliness will somehow be assuaged.
Love it or hate it, kinilaw is a part of our identity. Quoting Edilberto Alegre and the late Doreen Fernandez in their book “Kinilaw”,
” We want to share this song of freshness and sweetness and texture, and of our Filipino love and respect for what is is. We want to make you sing, even in the silence of your quiet seeing.”
The reintroduction of Kinilaw.com signals the beginning of an exciting new chapter in online food blogging focused on our natural and ethnic cuilinary traditions. The new Kinilaw.com will also feature cooking videos and mouth-watering photography by some of the Philippines’ best lensmen.
