To all of you who have heartily sent Congratulatory Remarks as Person of the Year 2008 of Ambibo.com.
It’s nice of you to have afforded and spent time in dropping your most precious and valuable remarks.
I highly appreciate your gesture and for publishing your beautiful and wonderful thoughts in me.
As the saying goes, “It’s not what you gather, but what you scattered that tells the life you led.” From your
words, I must have scattered the goodness like seeds in the best garden.”
My gratitude and deep appreciation. I cherish you and your words. Treasured it till the rest of my life. May you all succeed in your own fields of endeavor.
God Bless Us All.

Each year Ambibo chooses a man, woman, or idea that has most influenced events in the preceding years for Filipinos. In time this list will become a roster of honorees who have contributed to the betterment of the lives of our kababayans both at home and abroad.
Ambibo.com’s Person of the Year are individuals who, through their profession, have made the community a better place to live and work; have shown outstanding leadership in the advancement of ideas and their careers and have contributed significantly to the preservation and promotion of our culture.
They embody the Ambibo spirit.
……………………………………………………………………………………….
Mrs. Cita Orbecido-Bajamunde, retiring Chairperson of the Dipolog City Fiesta Organizing Committee in Chicago.
6 years ago this retired teacher and parole and probation officer took upon herself the herculean task of getting together Dipolognons in the Chicagoland area to celebrate the city’s 2 annual feast days. Since then the charity’s combined efforts has raised close to $40, 000 for the Catholic Retreat House project in Alvenda, Mutya, Zamboanga del Norte.
As Cita Bajamunde prepares to hand over the responsibility of these important events many wonder who her successor will be and will that person be able to fill in her shoes and the projects’ future.

To the Ambibo group of talented individuals and to all those who, in any way, contributed to the nomination process of ‘Person of the Year 2008′, I salute you all for a job well done and for making the right choice on Tita Cita. She has and will always be one of the greatest contributor of good deeds. A great humanitarian with true leadership and altruism, a person with a genuine heart.
Tita Cita, Congratulations to you as you so well deserve this honor and much more!

Hello Shiela, thank you for suggesting that I be the next “Person of the Year”,however, sorry to disappoint you, this will never happen, if you will ask me why, I will give the answer through a personal email but anyways, I personally know the first Ambibo Person of the Year, he being my brother and the 2009 Person of the Year, Cita Bajamunde, knowing them too well, they have indeed met Ambibo’s criteria for its choice, but there is really more to it, something common to these two persons which was never in print, and this is their generosity, not by just donating here in the United States, because this can help lessen the amount of tax that you pay, but that selfless act of helping our constituents back in our province who really needed our help. I coined a term for this as “silent donation”. Claude and Mam Cita never spoke anything about what they are doing, you just find it out, especially when you get to visit our province. I knew from the start of 2008 that Mam Cita was recommended, and I am happy for the choice because she is deserving of the title.I still find people who always look back at where they come from, sharing to them what you have achieved here in the United States as a very noble act. We have a lot of ZaNortheans who are making good here in the United States, your help will surely be appreciated.

Congratulations, Mrs. Cita Bajamunde!!! You truly deserve this prestigious award and you exemplify the Ambibo spirit through your countless hours of community service and contributions for the betterment of our kababayans. Good job, Ambibo, for honoring her with this award, The Person of the Year. I am sure my very good friend, Carlou, your daughter, is very proud of you. Perhaps you may want to move to Southern California now and continue the wonderful work you’ve done in Chicago?
