The event was truly memorable. It was attended not only by St. Mary’s Academy Alumni but also, those who have at least been a pupil/student of the school, which we thought should stay this way in the coming reunion/s, that’s why it was called a Marian Reunion (not St. Mary’s Alumni) and I believed, that day, my family had the most number of Marian attendees, not that it coincided with the birthday celebration of my daughter, Mary Cydel Mallari deGuzman,an alumna, but because I wanted the Marian spirit to live on in all of us, and to continue in believing our song “Hail St. Mary’s, beloved school of our childhood”. We supported Desiree’s effort and it was a success, we will do the same with Jing Bernus as she chairs the coming September 6, 2008 reunion. I hope there will be more of my Class 72.

  2. True Marian Says:

I had a blast during the reunion. Anyway, I just want to thank Cydel if not for her birthday, and maam Cyd for bringing most, if not all, the foods, otherwise we wouldn’t have anything to chow ! =).

  3. Maria Cyd Adriatico Says:

True Marian, thanks for your comment, I did prepare more that day because it was Cydel’s birthday but I also told the rest of my family members who are Marians, not to bring anymore food, I’m just really proud that all my children are Marians, however, two did not become alumni, but they have the Marian spirit in them, my sister, who was present that day, is an alumna and her husband, is an alumnus, and my daughter in law and her sister are also Marians, and I also told my close friends who are alumnae, not to anymore contribute, so that explains my preparation, and the largest in attendance, but I was sure then that with or without food being just together is worth the presence.

I saw photos of friends attending the Marian reunion, how come the title of the event says “St. Mary’s Alumnae”,I know for sure that Class 1985 already had male graduates, and since Alumnae only refers to girls or women, was the reunion only for the alumnae and did the male graduates I recognized in the photos just happen to attend, or according to Maria Cyd, that was a Marian reunion( those who have at least attended St. Mary’s Academy), I’m confuse and uncertain if I should attend the coming reunion or if I can invite those I know, are just Marians and not alumni. Please Ambibo, fill me in with the correct information so that I will not be embarrassed to attend.

    Correcting. Our apologies, Sir.
