The Manukan Association in Illinois held a “Valentine’s Special” on Saturday, February 16 at the White Eagle in Niles, Illinois. The hall was bedecked with red balloons, hearts and roses as guests fluttered from table to table in their mostly scarlet finery. Song and dance were the highlight of the evening and “D’Phenominals” delivered to the delight of everyone on the dance floor. Adding to the excitement was the raffle draw. Jacky Te, Miss ZaNorte Illinois 2007 handed out the prizes. Kudos to Teddy Hisula, Boy Bonjoc and others on the team.

The family of the late Renato Fortugaleza held a mass in his memory at their residence in Skokie, Illinois on Sunday, February 10. Relatives and friends gathered to celebrate his life and offered sympathies to the bereaved. The mass was officiated by Fr. Manuel Duterte and Fr. Anthony Pizzaro. [ABF]
