Loosing the way
Sitting alone in my empty room
My mind restless and downcast
I saddle my horse and ride far, far away
Climb to a height
And gaze out over the distant scene
A whirlwind springs up, shaking the earth
In no time at all, the sun sinks in the west
Broad rivers churn with foaming waves
Fields stretch endlessly past the horizon
Black monkeys call to their companions
With melancholy cries
geese wing their way south
A hundred cares line my brow
Ten thousand troubles rend my heart
I want to return
but I’ve lost the way
Here it is, the end of another year
What am I to do?

Club Winnemac had their house get-together on Christmas Day, complete a pretty tree, glorious food and presents. Not a huge crowd this time, just members only but Jiji, Arthur, Des, Bobby and Ariel made sure fun was had by all. Turns at the dance mat took care of excess calories and booze.

Meanwhile up north, Jacky Te had friends and family over for dinner on Saturday, December 22nd. Thick fog and holiday traffic made the commute challenging but it was still a full house. Mom Evelyn, Dad Jim Boulton, the siblings and family friend Alan Olarte helped the newly-crowned Miss ZaNorte-Illlinois entertain the guests til the wee hours.
